Terms & Conditions
Effective 6 July 2026
These terms govern your use of heliskitravel.com and any booking you arrange through us. They are provided by The Alps Experience Travel, Knudsen (trading as Heliski Travel), Nyon, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, UID CHE-485.511.570.
1. Our role — booking agent, not operator
Heliski Travel acts as an authorised sales agent and booking intermediary for Viking Heliskiing (Iceland). We arrange and broker your heliski trip; we do not operate the heliski service ourselves. The heliskiing — guiding, helicopter access, avalanche safety and related mountain services — is provided by Viking Heliskiing as the operator, under their own terms and conditions.
2. The operator's terms govern the service
When you book, a contract for the heliski service is formed with, and subject to the terms of, Viking Heliskiing as operator. Their terms cover the delivery of the trip, including participation requirements, conduct on the mountain, and the operator's liability waiver, which you will be asked to accept before skiing. We will make the operator's applicable terms available to you as part of the booking.
3. Prices, payment and cancellation
Trip prices, deposits, payment schedules and cancellation and refund conditions are set by the operator and confirmed to you in writing before you commit. Please read them carefully. Any deposit or payment is subject to those conditions. We will always set out the applicable terms for your chosen package before you book.
4. Inherent risk and fitness to participate
Heliskiing is a backcountry mountain activity that carries inherent risks, including those associated with off-piste skiing, helicopter flight and avalanche terrain. Participation is subject to the operator's safety rules and to your acceptance of the operator's waiver. You are responsible for ensuring you are of a suitable ability and in adequate physical condition, and for holding appropriate travel and mountain-sports insurance covering off-piste and helicopter-accessed skiing.
5. Weather and conditions
Heliski operations depend entirely on weather, snow and safety conditions. Flying days, specific terrain and the amount of skiing cannot be guaranteed. The operator makes all decisions on flying and terrain in the interest of safety, and these decisions are final. Because trips are sold by guaranteed vertical feet rather than flight time, weather or safety decisions do not reduce the skiing you have paid for.
6. Website content
We prepare the content of this website with care but give no warranty as to its accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Descriptions, imagery and indicative prices are for guidance; the operator's confirmed terms prevail. We may update the site and these terms at any time.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability as booking agent is limited to the proper arrangement of your booking. We are not liable for the delivery of the heliski service itself, which is the responsibility of the operator. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Swiss law.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Nyon, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply in your country of residence.
